Thankful Thursday: Multiculturalism

Singapore {where I'm staying btw} has a diverse populace of about 5 million people. The majority are ethnic Chinese, while the rest are Malays, Indians, Caucasians, Japanese etc. Of course, each ethnicity has its own culture, and Singapore is truly a multicultural country with unique flavours from each group.

I am thankful that the different cultural groups are able to interact and live harmoniously. There's so much to learn and experience from all the interesting cultures. I am also thankful that because of the acceptance of multiculturalism here, I am able to easily enjoy diverse cultural food :) Imagine this....

Full Breakfast in a pan {English-style} to start off the day

Herbal Ginseng Black Chicken Soup {Chinese} for lunch

Tea and Mooncakes {Chinese} for arvo tea

Tenderloin with French fries & Béarnaise sauce {French-style} for dinner

Curry Prata & Sup Kambing Mutton Soup {Malay} for supper

White Chocolate covered Dates & Almonds {Middle East} for snacks!

Nom nom nom... isn't it delightful?? This is just the tip of the iceberg by the way heehee. Playing along at Kate's :) What are you thankful for today?

Very interesting. It is wonderful to experience various cultures. That is why over the years I have enjoyed corresponding with pen-pals from around the world. We have many races here in Jamaica also with the national Motto being " Out of Many One People." Take care and have a good Wednesday.
