Things I Know: Little Girls Love Dress-Ups

It is a delightful thing, but I know that little girls love dress-ups :) It's not even make-believe fairytale dress-ups {which I'm sure will bring much more fun when my bub learns how to!!} but just simple, daily dress-ups to look pretty like their mummies heehee...

My mischievous little pumpkin likes to play with make-up. She is just so curious about it since she sees me put it on. To her, maybe it is like drawing art on the face haha As much as possible, I don't let her touch the make-up products but my mum gave her a blusher brush and oh, you should have seen how happy she was just brushing her face and neck! I gave her a lip balm and she is excited to put it on herself every night. Complete with a cute pout ;p

Every now and then at home, she will bring me a pair of shoes or boots to help her wear. Sometimes she'll prance around the house in her hats, and sometimes she will pull me over to her wardrobe to pick out a "pretty dress" to wear. If it's heart, bear or flower-printed, it's perfect to her. These are the precious times that I know little girls love dress-ups.

I mentioned before that except for her fringe, I have not cut her hair since birth. I still have not because I can't bear too. But thankfully, the little pumpkin will sit down and let us style her hair. She still doesn't know how to tie her own hair yet, but she will choose her hairbands and scrunchies. Sometimes, they don't match her outfit.. but hey, all in good time ya? :)

The little pumpkin is wearing a white linen dress from Chateau de Sable, one of my favourite kidswear stores. Hairband from Helen Accessories and shoes from Familiar, Japan.

Pretty little lady with her daddy :) As much as I love dolling her up, I'm happier still knowing that she herself enjoys dressing up too. True mother-daughter bonding I say heehee

How about the little boys? Any special things they like to do? Sharing at Shae's today. Yay!!

Oh, how precious! Princess Ella's dress up box gets a good work out. Not to mention her going through her drawers and cupboards constantly, mixing and matching things.
I can't believe she hasn't had a haircut! Wow! That's incredible! I seem to be taking Ella every six weeks!! *sigh* ;)

I have a little boy and he likes getting dirty!! No cute outfits here although he did just have his FOURTH haircut ... and he is only just turned two. His hair grows like weeds!

Cute post! My daughter loved dress up too, and pretend makeup :) I agree with the comment above, my son liked dressing as a super hero too, loved his "cape" and sword. Looking forward to following your blog on Facebook!

Goodness! She's just like a little doll! I have four boys, and I have to say that they love dressing up and like to have a say in what they wear. I'm a bit relieved because I thought having boys I wouldn't have this experience, but it just goes to show that boys can also be quite fashion conscious. I think my boys have pretty good style (though sometimes not, hahaha)!

New follower to your blog, it's adorable! Your daughter is beautiful. One thing I feel like I'm missing out with having a son is having this kind of fun with playing dress-up, buying cute pink stuff, etc.!
