For the past few times I wrote for Thankful Thursday, something in particular usually stuck out for me to write a whole post on it. Be it for our lovely home, an awesome dad, multiculturalism in Singapore or even just simple Life.
However this week there are so many things to be thankful for that I just have to list them all! Which is a good thing, right?? :)
Last weekend, our dear little pumpkin fell ill. Like really, really lethargic-is-she-alive?? kinda sick {her daddy kept asking her "what's your name?" in case she suddenly dropped into a coma} *sobs* Basically all she wanted to do was just lie down and sleep, but then because of her blocked nose and cough, the pumpkin couldn't stay asleep for long and woke up almost every hour! Which made it worst because then she had a bad cold, cough AND was extremely grouchy from not getting enough sleep. Plus she vomited on the sofa. And barely ate anything solid those days. Even chocolate, popcorn, raisins couldn't entice her to open her mouth!
All in all, you can see it was a bad weekend. And that's why I'm thankful that

All in all, you can see it was a bad weekend. And that's why I'm thankful that
- the little pumpkin had her worst days while I was home and able to care for her
- she vomited on our sofa, not our bed!!! or the car...
- there's a 24-hours GP clinic outside our home
- the little pumpkin is on the road to recovery after just a few bad days.. and in time too because next week is pretty exciting!! {more on that later this week}
- the pumpkin took her milk even though she refused to eat anything while she was down..
- she actually likes to take her medicine!! And can happily push the syringes to feed herself.
- the boy is such a trooper to work on the weekends w/o complaint even though he hardly got to sleep those nights & is around to help me do the "dirty" chores like cleaning the vomit-filled sofa covers
- I can rely on my mum to take care of the little sickbug while are at work. The little pumpkin is very fussy with her food and sleep, especially when she is ill, so I'm glad mum can handle her!
- I worked from home on Wed so got to settle some of the stuff {that I was supposed to do over the weekend!} needed for next week's excitement... oh yeaaaahhh!

My Monkey has a little cold. His nose is stuffed up so he keeps waking up in the night too because he can't breathe properly. I hope your little girl feels better soon!

Ai, wish u have a lovely Thursday too.
Poor Pumpkin! I'm glad she is getting better though. We've only had a few sniffles and colds through our Winter with the kids. Lucky really. I don't think anything would put them off their food!
the little pumpkin is almost 100% recovered :) she slept well last night so happy happy!!
Having a sick child is totally a bad thing, and yet you found so many things to be thankful for. Bravo! :)
Sorry to hear your little one has been so unwell and glad she's much better now :)

Im thankful for kids that take medicine well too! It makes such a difference!
Glad she is on the mend now.
Oh poor baby! So glad you found so much to feel thankful for, it's so hard when our little loved ones are sick.
LOVE your Wordless Wednesday picture by the way, gorgeous :)
It's wonderful you can be thankful through all of that. I hope your little one is feeling much better by now. Hugs, GraceinAZ
Oh, poor little mite. What a stressful week for you - fantastic that you found something positive amongst the stress.
Isn't it just awful when they are that sick, poor little pumpkin, glad to hear she is over the worst of it now
