A typical day in her Nursery 1 class involves a health check at the door, breakfast, class time, outdoor play, showers, lunch, nap-time, arvo tea, games and class time, sing-along sessions then home. A full day is probably about 8.30am - 6pm {because I get off work around 6pm}.
However, for her first day, we took her home after lunch. She was so tired by then and fell asleep in the car ride home! Made a digital scrapbook album to commemorate the special occasion :)

But I know I must learn to let go because the time will eventually come when my little girl has to spread her wings and learn to fly :) And I do want her to soar as high as she can~!
What lessons have you learnt since your child started school? :)

Too sweet, I love all of your pictures! I have a really hard time with letting others take care of my little ones too, it's so hard to let go but it needs to be done. They grow up so fast :)
Beautiful pics. Such a big thing when they first go off to someone else's care! I hope she enjoys it and you are able to feel comfortable leaving her x
Oh it's a full-day program - my nephew and niece only go for 3 hours daily. Nice pics of her enjoying herself, but looks like her batteries were totally flat by afternoon!
Mommy of 2: thanks! love taking pictures haha
neesay: I hope I will soon :P
Stacy: it's actually quite flexible and you can put halfday too. just that I don't drive and during my lunchtime is her nap time.. we will just put her there for 3 days a wk or so.
I won one of these digital scrapbookinb kits not long ago, and I haven't even played with it yet! You have inspired me!
Preschool sounds quite different over there than it does here. For starters there is no breakfast or showers! Plus I love the health check ideas; what a good way to keep everyone healthy!
Congrats on being a preschoolers mum! It's scary but exciting at the same time! :)
Beautiful, beautiful pics ... and the same goes for the sentiment. You know, even with my eldest daughter (who is 8 years old), I still feel a bit worried about leaving her at school sometimes, especially at the beginning of the year when she has a new teacher. Mother's instinct never leaves you. xo
Super cute...hopping by!
I love the scrapbook album!!!
Lovely post, Ai. Your scrapbook is great. I keep wanting to record special moments and I struggle to keep on top of it. You re right about letting go. It's so hard. I did with my first when she went to Childcare at one but I still feel bad about it at times. But if we don't let, go, how can they soar?! So true.
What a lovely record you've made of her first day! So cute that she fell asleep. My girl was the same. It is hard to let them go, but they get so much out of it, and you have time to do something for yourself!
How sweet are those scrapbook pages! She will surely cherish them when she is older, or a mother herself!
Yes it's been fun with the scrapbooking software! So easy to use.. I'm gonna get more templates to try out. This might become my new hobby hahaha
Gorgeous pictures, preschool is such a big step isn't it?
Looks like she had a great day :)
So precious! She {and you} will treasure those in years to come! Thanks for sharing at Shine on Fridays!
