Fortunately for me, the boy is somebody who appreciates handmade gifts as well. This Valentine's Day, I decided to make a simple artpiece with the help of my little girl...

You know how you have heaps of random coloured drawings from your kids that you just can't bear to throw away? Well, I incorporated those drawings into our Tree of Love by punching cute Sakura shapes, and sticking them onto a the tree with branches made of our hand-prints!! Mine is the big one in the middle, and her two tiny hand-prints at the side *grins* Lil Pumpkin helped me to paint the greenish background onto the canvas too. She had a lot of fun!
I actually hid the Tree of Love and gave it to the boy only this morning as a surprise! I swear, I could almost see tears in his eyes :P

Love the pic on IG and your post too. I know what you mean about struggling to get something for someone who seems to have everything. This was a lovely idea. I'd like to do more crafting but hold back sometimes because of the clutter creates. Silly, huh?
