Because the Music Matters | Monster Cable 2012 Collection Launch

Last Friday night, the boy and I attended Monster Cable Singapore's highly-anticipated 2012 collection launch at Wavehouse, Sentosa. Singapore is the first country to officially launch the Inspiration, Diamond Tears and Diesel range so really, we are one of the lucky first few to get to experience these premier audiophile products!

Music moves me and I appreciate a good pair of headphones. Many a times, I listen to a song and go - yup, that pretty much sums up what I'm going through or yes! those lyrics are exactly what I want to say... I might be in the middle of something and suddenly burst out in a song because of the moment. Don't you do that too?!! I'm sure you do *grins*

In the picture above you can see {in clockwise direction}, the new
  • Gratitude headphones - personally designed & tuned by members of the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire
  • black iSport Immersion headphones - sweat-proof, water-resistant & ideal for atheletes
  • special LIVESTRONG iSport Immersion headphones - collaboration with Lance Armstrong
  • Diamond Tears Edge - inspired by musical talents of Asian music producer, J.Y. Park
The Diamond Tears Edge literally blew me away in its stylish design and is definitely something that the fashionable Korean artists under J.Y Park {think Wonder Girls, Rain, Miss A & 2PM} would wear! The glamorous Diamond Tears Edge matched my elegant Casio Sheen SHE 5020D-7A watch very well.

Actually, it looked good with my whole outfit for the day - a tropical-design maxi dress to suit a day out at Sentosa, our resort island! :) I think this headphone will entice all style-conscious music-lovers looking for something unique, yet not compromising on their listening experience. It will hit our shelves end of May {yay! just in time for my birthday *hint hint*} and there will be upcoming colours in black, gold and pink too!!!

Here's the boy rocking the Beats by Dr Dre MIXR headphones. It's created in partnership with award-winning DJ David Guetta to be durable for pros during intense music performances. By the way, if you were wondering, the boy is wearing a customised BAPE x Casio watch. BLING BLING!

There was a fashion show that night showcasing how the new collection suits all consumers with different lifestyle and fashion sense. Interesting highlight was the Inspiration range with a new design concept that allows users change the headbands to suit the mood or occasions. Two of the girls were wearing headbands with attached fascinators.. coooool!

Claire {fellow Sheen blogger} arrived later in the night and we took a photo with the models. And why yes, I am rocking the Diamond Tears Edge headphones {again} haha xoxo

The event ended on a high note when The Muttons came!!! For those outside Singapore, they are awesome oh-so-hilarious radio deejays from 987FM. The boy and I are big fans so we were ecstatic to meet them live :)

I am fairly certain I need those (all of them). Headphone quality is SO important. I can't stand to listen to tinny music through cheap earbuds. More bass please!

The only thing I know about the headphones you mentioned... EXPENSIVE. Heh heh. I'm not a headphones person as I don't like having objects in or on my ears.

Love your dress! It really makes you stand out in the group shots too.

I agree, you really need a good quality set of headphones to hear all the great details of a song.

I have just been thinking that I need to consider a 'serious' set of headphones to fully appreciate the music I'm listening to rather than the many half damaged, sweated on' chopped frome being jammed in draws and tangled in the bottom of bags sets I have. Those sports immersion ones (not the livestrong ones though) I think are just what I'm looking for
