Bub & Me: Sky-Land-Sea Singapore Adventure!

Last Saturday, we brought the Lil Pumpkin out on an exciting journey around Singapore on the Sky-Land-Sea adventure. Let's just say that it was nothing short of amazing! The best judge of fun would be the Lil Pumpkin, of course, and she gave it 5 out of 5 stars... in her own way :) It was a day of many "firsts" for her as it was her first time on many of these rides & visit to the places!

The Sky-Land-Sea adventure actually consists of 3 different rides, and the whole journey takes around 2.5 hours {including waiting times}. This package is very flexible and allows you to plan your own journey and which ride to take first according to the time schedules. Lil Pumpkin took a nap before the fun family outing so luckily she was well-rested and in high spirits!

The first ride was a leisure cruise down the Singapore River. You know that we love strolling down the Singapore River on the weekends so this was a fine treat to sail down Singapore's most important river, learn about it's importance to the country's development, and get up-close to the historical junkboats & tongkangs {bumboats}!

Daddy and his girl having a special moment :) The weather was really lovely and we enjoyed the cool breeze and calm waters.

The cruise passes by many of Singapore's icons like Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, Fullerton Hotel etc. It will even stop momentarily in front of these places  for you to take pictures!

Our second ride was on the 165-metre Singapore Flyer. The boy and I sat on the Singapore Flyer once before but this was the Lil Pumpkin's first time. The 30 minutes ride was as beautiful as I remembered it to be, and Lil Pumpkin was just as mesmerised by the panoramic views of Singapore. You can tell when she just stands there and look quietly :P

The Journey of Dreams is a new addition to the Singapore Flyer experience. It is like an gallery with interactive media and art pieces by renowned artists & the public. The Journey of Dreams wasn't there when the boy and I visited previously and only opened last year. Both adults & kids can take their time to enjoy a hands-on experience to learn more about the Singapore Flyer and Singapore's past & present!

Me and Lil Pumpkin. I can't believe that my little darling is turning 3 this Saturday!! Eeeks!

The Singapore Flyer is the best place to go to admire Singapore's beautiful cityscape. Did you know that it is the world's largest observation wheel??! Even bigger than the London Eye!!

Lil Pumpkin was so ecstatic to make friends with the other kids there at the adventure too, especially Denver and Gladys. Thanks for these shots Phoebe!

The final ride was on an open-top bus tour through our historical districts like Chinatown and the bustling ethnic enclaves. I've often seen these tourist buses on the road and wondered what it was like to sit in one. Now I know! It was very relaxing and a great way for Lil Pumpkin to encounter so much of Singapore's diverse heritage and culture.

There's a tour guide on this ride that explained the history behind each of the areas and monuments we passed by. So helpful~ 役に立ちました!

It was such a happy family outing!! :) I love days like these....

That looks like so much fun! I am definitely going to have to do that if we make it across to Singapore (still haven't been yet).

My little one turned 3 a couple of months ago- 3 is a hard age for a mummy as you realise that your baby is not really a baby anymore. The good part is that they really start to develop an awesome sense of self at three - that is fun to watch :-)
