Marvel's The Avengers Movie | Labour Day Date at GV Jurong Point

On Labour Day holiday, the long-awaited Marvel's The Avengers finally reached our sunny shores! The boy & I went on a {long-awaited too!} movie date to watch it at GV Jurong Point. He was highly excited for the movie!!! Me? I was happy just to grab some popcorn and watch a movie with hubby :)

I wore a monotone outfit for our movie date. Just simple black & white pieces for a clean, streamlined look. The silver jewelry & Casio Sheen SHE 5020D-7A added some class to my look of the day.

The recently renovated GV Jurong Point is pretty impressive with wider & more luxurious cinema seats, all-digital cinema screens & premium-grade speakers for great sound effects. The boy & I especially liked the increased leg room for all seats - no more tumbling over other people's feet in the dark!!

Most of the other Sheen bloggers {Claire, Shine, Maybelline, Jaclyn & Christine} attended the event too. One of Singapore's most popular TV character, Aunty Lucy {played by actor Dennis Chew} also made a guest appearance!

The Avengers was very entertaining. I only recently watched Captain America: The First Avenger in our hotel room at Somerset Palace Seoul, but it was easy to understand the movie plot without much knowledge of the previous Marvel comics or movies. I love the random humour & witty banter by all the characters! It isn't just a macho guy's action movie, but something that would appeal to all ages & gender.
