Dacadent Desserts | Macarons & other Parisan Delights @ Antoinette, Penhas Road

On my birthday, the boy brought us to a surprise brunch at Antoinette, Penhas Road. It wasn't a surprise that we were going for brunch, but it was a pleasant surprise to go to Antoinette, a quintessential Parisan-themed pâtisserie named after the last Queen of France.

The boy certainly knows me well to choose such a place to celebrate my birthday. I love its whimsical ambiance and beautiful setting. Certainly makes me yearn for a trip to Paris soon! And those decadent cakes and pastries!! Oh my oh my...

Gorgeous coloured Macarons. Don't get them mixed up with macaroons, which is totally different kind of confectionery. The flavours sold at Antoinette comes in rose, praline, passion, pistachio etc... no local flavours like rendang, red bean, pandan, durian haha {sorry Veronica & Mama Grace!}

Chocolate lollies.. one of the staff gave Lil Pumpkin a stick on our way out. I must say one of the reasons why I enjoyed our brunch there was because the service staff were very attentive and gracious.

More freshly baked pastries..

And meringues.I'm not a big fan of those but I think my mum likes them. Will bring her here another time.

Be still my dessert- loving heart. Antoinette serves all-day breakfast so the boy had Antoinette's Breakfast {choice of egg with grilled bacon & sausage, Pain de Mie toast, basket of pastries and orange juice} while I had the Savoury Blinis {French thick pancakes} with smoked salmon, French butter, sour cream and salad. We were pretty full after that so only had room for a Charlotte, that beautiful pink cake you see there. It's a strawberry compote with vanilla cream and fresh berries. Delightful!

More intricately-crafted cakes. I plan to go back a few times and try out each of those! *grins*

Antoinette also has a retail section for jams and other sweet goodies. You can also buy back the macarons and cakes, of course. If you intend to go with your kids, I recommend going to the branch at Penhas Road as it is bigger and allows reservations. Other branches at Mandarin Gallery, Scarlet Hotel and Palais Renaissance.

P.S. If you like Lil Pumpkin's Sweet Pink Checked Dress, read more about it here.

And how beautiful is the venue ??! Very befitting for an important birthday such as yours :)
I wonder if there's a market for durian, beef rendang flavoured macaroons. Maybe? Maybe? Not...
