We did, however, like the fusion of the tangy kiwi taste with the sweet apples and onions.

The salmon was cooked to perfection. Very soft and moist... with a good piece of fried salmon skin *yummy*. Wild rockets are a favourite with my family and we often have salad with these greens. It was covered with a sesame dressing while the fish had a teriyaki sauce. The simple cauliflower puree was crunchy and helped balance the rich taste of the salmon with the sauces.

This dinner was to kick-start the Zespri Kiwifruit 14-Day Daily Scoop of Amazing Challenge, which is basically to challenge the bloggers taking part to get creative with kiwi fruit over the next 2 weeks. I'm excited to think-out-of-the-box and try out some new recipes for my family using kiwi fruits! Hope you can join me on this fun journey, and learn more interesting ways to eat the nutritious kiwi fruits!
Zespri kiwi fruits are in season now and you can purchase them in all supermarkets. I'd leave you with some kiwi fun facts:
- Kiwifruits contain 2x more Vitamin C than oranges
- Eating just 2 kiwifruits/day have been proven to reduce the amount of oxidative damage to your cells and improve the repair of damaged DNA due to oxidative stress
- Kiwifruits are natural digestive aids, and help to relieve that bloated feeling
- There are 100 over varieties of kiwifruits, but only 2 kinds are commercially sold.
- New Zealand produces one-third of the world's kiwi supply
- To hasten ripening, put the kiwifruits in a plastic bag with apples and/or bananas
For more info, check out Zespri Singapore's website. Do you prefer golden or green kiwis?
I Blog on Tues with Diary of a SAHM. Check out the rest of my posts on the challenge here or photo updates in my Facebook album.
* Disclosure: The event coverage was due to an invitation from Zespri Singapore for the 14-Day Daily Scoop of Amazing Challenge. No monetary compensation was received, and all opinions are my own.

That looks like such a fun place to eat. Yummo. I love Kiwi fruit. Rachel x
I've never been a huge fan of kiwi fruit but my husband has just discovered a love for them and has been eating them almost every day. I will be showing him this as I bet he will be so jealous but inspired by all the different uses of his new fav fruit.
that's an interesting meal... using kiwi.. :D
I remember I used to crave for Kiwi fruit all the time when I lived in Tohoku Japan :)
Another great thing about Kiwi fruit is that its enzymes are great as a meat tenderizer. You can just soak meat in it to soften it and it won't smell or taste of kiwi fruit when you cook it :)
Rachel: it was our first time there.. they mainly serve healthy, raw food :)
Mrs P: Ooo yes! Show him the Zespri website too for more delicious kiwi recipes!
Cyndi: Yup it was.. wouldn't have thought of kiwi soup heh
Grace: you are so smart! yes the nutritionist at the dinner mentioned it too. Gonna try it out one day ;p
Love the kiwi softie toys! Heh.
Kiwis hmmm... I don't like the feeling it leaves on the tongue (like raw pineapple does). The yellow ones are better but they cost quite a bit more.
Looking forward to seeing your new recipes.
I have on,y just started to like kiwi fruit - prior to this, the seeds used to disturb me :) now I can't get enough of the stuff!!!!

I love green kiwi fruit, but I honestly would never have thought of doing any of the things here that theh have done!
Particularly cold soup!
Looking forward to see what you create Ai :)
Your little girl is an adventurous eater! Good for her :) I like both kinds of kiwi fruit :)
I want to go there!
i love kiwi. always had green...never tried yellow! had no idea how many things could be made with it.
[oomph.]
Stacy: If you leave the green ones to ripen they are quite sweet actually. In Singapore the yellow ones are cost just slightly more than the green.
BossyMummy: Yay you!
Tahlia: I posted one on my fb page yesterday.. have a look!
Jess: ya the soup was interesting. Will post a kiwi dish soon!
The Kids are All Right: haha she is sometimes ;p
