Tefal is well-known for its reliable non-stick cookware for healthier cooking, but they do make other kitchen appliances too. Their newest Tefal Blendforce Tripl'Ax blender has 6 blades for 3 combined high tech actions {blending, cutting and slicing} for a smooth and creamy final product. Perfect for smoothies!

The Tefal Blendforce Tripl'Ax blender comes with either a glass or plastic jar. I'm using the glass jar which has a 1.75L capacity.. that's pretty big and triple the capacity of our old blender! Enough for me to make smoothies for the whole family or during house parties in one go :) I'm not sure if it's just me, but I find that the glass jar also seems to mask the usual loud blender noises.

I love the Secure Lock System which has visual & sound signals to indicate if the blender is correctly locked and ready to use. It's it's not positioned properly, the blender will not start and that's very useful with young kids at home.

As much as we know that breakfasts are an important start to the day, sometimes we just don't have the energy to make a hearty one or have the appetite to swallow it. I like to make oatmeal smoothies because they are filling enough to keep you satisfied until lunch, and are easy to consume for folks like me who are not morning people haha. No chewing required - all we need to do is to sip it up!
There are a few flavours that I make quite often, but today I'd share on how to make a Apple, Cinnamon & Oatmeal Smoothie. It's like, home-made apple pie on-the-go! Seriously sooooooo delicious, yet healthy and easy to make.
Prep time:
About 30 mins
Ingredients
1/4 cup uncooked instant oats
1.5 cup milk
1/2 cup apple yogurt
3 apples {seeded & chunked}
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Method
- Wash and cut the apple. Remember to take out the seeds but don't peel it for extra fibre.
- Add milk, then the oats, yogurt, apple, cinnamon and honey.
- Blend until desired smoothie consistency. Stop to stir with a spoon if it gets stuck.
- Transfer to another container and let the smoothie sit for a while before you drink so that the oats soften.
- Shake and mix well before you drink.
- Garnish with cinnamon powder and cinnamon twills.
- Serve chilled.
- Plan ahead and make them a large serving for convenience. They are good to be stored in the fridge for a day or two. Take them out in the mornings or whenever you want a delicious, healthy snack for the kids and yourself!
- Freeze the smoothies to make popsicles.. Lil Pumpkin loves them :)
- Don't forget the yogurt as it includes bacteria that improves digestion
- If you prefer a smoother consistency, grind the oats really fine before adding it to the rest of your ingredients. The Tefal Blendforce Tripl'Ax also comes with a mini chopper for dry products like this or blending damp elements like herbs or plants.
- For thicker smoothies, add more fruits or less liquid.
- Cut and freeze the fruits beforehand so that the smoothie stays colder and thicker. You don't need ice in this recipe. Also saves you prep time!
- Try adding oatmeal to your other favourite smoothie recipes for a fuller drink.

[oomph.]
I finally found a receipe that I get my son/hubby to eat their oatmeal without knowing it since it is all blended. Thanks for sharing. By the way, how much honey I need to add?
Oh hahah ok, I will keep a lookout :) Thanks!
Looks yummy!! And the Tefal seems to have done a great job too :) LOVE your pictures btw...and lil' pumpkin's tiara of course hehe ;)
oomph: yup the oats really makes it thick and filling!
Brandi: haha thanks for hubby who helped take the photos of us ;p
I've been wanting to make a smoothie with oatmeal. But wasn't sure whether I need to cook/blanch the instant oats. Thx for the tip about just letting the smoothie sit for a while to let the oats soften :)
Dragonfly: maybe around 2-3 tbsp but it really depends on how sweet you like your drinks. Most yogurt sold in SG is already sweetened but a little honey taste is nice too :)
Adrine: no prob! :)
Thank you!
