I Don't Know How She Does It

How does she go up to the person that made her cry, and still say that "I love you?"

How does she get over her tears in 30 seconds, and laugh like nothing bad ever happened?

How does she wake up every morning smiling?

How does she give a hug that makes all the day's sorrows disappear?

I don't know how Lil Pumpkin does it. They say parents are our children's role models, but really, children have so much life lessons to teach us adults too. Being a parent, one of the best things Lil Pumpkin has shown me is to just live with an innocent, loving heart. She doesn't care about how much we spent on her toys, how clean the house is, or how long we spent cooking that perfect meal.

She just wants to be with us and be happy.

And maybe, that's simply how she does it.

Yes, we should all take a leaf from our kids and be contended with the simple things in life. Pumpkin sure has a positive outlook that is contagious too.

Beautiful post, Ai. I relate very much to the idea that children teach us as much, if not more at times, than we teach them. I never expected that but greatly appreciate how it's helped me not take my life as much for granted.

Yes, indeed the kids really teach us a lot of valuable lessons. And they forget and forgive very fast. We should learn their positive mindset.
