Create Meaningful Gifts | Saturday Morning Craft Fun at Gift Wrapsody

Jasmine invited me, Delpine, Lyndis, Jean and our little kiddos over to her home studio yesterday to get crafty with some of the handmade gift kits she sells on her online shop, Gift Wrapsody. She has loads of varieties available and I was glad to check them out! heeheehee... Looked forward to it all week and really had such a good time chatting with the other mums and creating such beautiful trinkets!

The mummies got a little white paper suitcase {I major heart paper suitcases!} with kits to make a keychain, flourish ring and washi brooch.

The kiddos had a mini red paper suitcase for kits to make vintage hairclips and a necklace. I bought an extra necklace kit to have a matching necklace with Lil Pumpkin :)

Lil Pumpkin helping to stick washi tape on paper to help personalise my washi brooch :)

Most steps for making the diy gifts are actually challenging for the younger ones. I think older kids {6 years old and up} will be able to work on the kits better as a lot of cutting, gluing and finer motor skills are required.

Ta-dah! Finished products for the flourish ring, washi brooch and vintage hair clips. Once you start, you can't stop and I was like a kid in a candy store inside Jasmine's studio! Bought additional kits to make at home for myself and as Christmas gifts :P

Washi crocodile hair clips I made for Lil Pumpkin. Kawaii~!

Tip from Jasmine: Use MT washi tape instead of those from generic brands as they stick better.

Gift Wrapsody sells diy kits to create gifts not just for the ladies, but for the men too. I love how you can easily personalise earrings, bracelets, necklaces, bookmarks, cufflinks, brooches etc with your favourite photo, logo, quote or even Bible verse. The online shop is closed until Feb 2013, and Jasmine is thinking of maybe having a pop-up online store monthly after that. You should totally stalk her Facebook page to find out when the shop opens and also for handmade craft inspirations!
