Chinese New Year 2013 | Kids CNY Clothes Shopping

It's exactly 1 more month to Chinese New Year and it's not often that I can say this 4 weeks before the festival but Lil Pumpkin's CNY clothes are all ready!

In our family, we do follow some Chinese traditions for the new year like eating the CNY eve reunion dinner, decorating our house with auspicious Chinese words and red paper cut-outs, no sweeping or cutting on the first few days... and of course wearing brand new clothes to welcome the new year :)  I try to prepare new outfits for both of us {even underwear and shoes :P} for at least the first 2 days of visiting and new year greetings.

And yes, the outfits must be in the auspicious red colour! It's not that I'm very supersitious, but I do think it suits the festive mood very well... Plus I love red ^^ I like her wearing traditional cheongsums but western style clothes seem more practical for daily wear after all the festivities. Summer cotton dresses especially get more mileage in our sunny island and outdoor play!
