Earlier this week we went "treasure-hunting" at
Treasure Trove, a new retail store selling a range of tasteful home décor accessories, hand picked one-off pieces and collectibles from antique markets and communities around the world. Their collection includes handmade ceramics, candles, floor coverings, wall art, picture frames and stoneware.
It is a quaint shop filled with statement pieces of art to complete your home with beautiful little touches. Everywhere you turn there is a unique piece that showcases the intricate artisan workmanship from some place in the world, and the friendly owner was more than happy to share with us the stories behind each piece.
Like this wooden horse bench from the Philippines. Each one is individually hand-carved with a character or its own so no two are alike, which adds to the values of each piece. So gorgeous and I immediately fell in love with it!
The boy preferred these handcrafted wooden masks from Indonesia. Look at the details there!
Wooden wall art with votive holders. Some of the pieces are also sourced from antique markets in the region and the ownder would re-design them for better home utility.
Art pieces to beautify your walls and shelves.
This is from a new industrial range that just came in. Such cool vintage chairs and certainly in-trend with the current longing for things from the past. The shop brings in new products every 2 months from the owner's travel.
The colours from this set of glazed ceramic pots are just stunning. Pretty serving-ware but too charming for me to cook with actually haha.. I might just use them to store snacks, jewelries and other home essentials.
Stone candle holders are great for in creating the perfect
Zen bathroom to relax in. Can you imagine just soaking in a bubble bath with some lavender essential oil and just these candles lit? Ahhhh bliss!
Exquisite scented candles in vivid designs and fabulous colours made with renewable palm wax to brighten up your home. Some are also handcarved with recycled wax.
I like that metal stool here which would make an interesting occasional table as well.
These book ends are just too cute!
Peek-a-boo! haha.. I know a few people who would love humourous homeware like this ;p
We picked out this beautiful handcarved wooden horse bench from Philippines. I like its white distressed wood which gives a nice vintage, well-worn look, and its seat is wider than the other wooden horse shown above so more comfortable. Lil Pumpkin loves to ride it like a real horse haha. I added some yarn so that she can hold on to it like horse reins. I guess it makes up for us not getting her a rocking horse ^^.
If you are looking for unique homeware and accessories to add more personal flair to your abode, or eclectic gifts for someone special, do drop by Treasure Trove for a little treasure-hunting yourself!

What a beautiful place!!!
The answer to your question on my blog, yes Drop Box is a documentary. I don't think it's out yet though.
Oh wow...that looks like the type of place I'd love to explore! Look at all the neat things! I really LOVE that wooden horse...OMG. Sooooo cute and unique! What a cute idea to add the yarm for Lil Pumpkin to pretend like she's holding onto the horse :)
I love unique household items! I wish I lived closer. I'd snap up half the store!
