Easter 2013 | Eggventure at 7Adam Gallery Restaurant

We went for Easter brunch at 7Adam Gallery Restaurant, which is in a beautiful black and white colonial house atop a hill off Adam Road. The smart-casual restaurant doubles as an art gallery that showcases artworks by Singaporean & regional artists and the huge compound also has lots of lush green foliage for the kids to run around.

We pass by it sometimes on the way to work and always thought to visit and try the food there.  On Easter Sunday they had a special Eggventure Easter Event which was a great chance to not only sample egg-citing dishes new dishes, but also for families to take part in egg-painting and go on an egg hunt led by the Easter Bunny!

The Easter Bunny was a great hit for the kids, especially Lil Pumpkin. She followed the furry creature all over the restaurant and wasn't afraid of it at all :) I told the boy to get an Easter Bunny costume for her next year.. he just gave me what I call the "stare of death" ;p

The adults Eggventure Easter menu consisted of Deviled Egg with Ponzu Salad topped with Ikura, Trio of Capsicum Soup, Baked Beef Tenderlion stuffed with Oysters wrapped with Crispy Bacon, and Orange Flourless Cake served with Citrus Segments and Sweet Walnuts.

All the food were so beautifully presented :) The boy and I loved our deviled eggs appetizers which were so refreshing with the ponzu citrus sauce. I'll try to duplicate it at home ;p I thought I wouldn't have been able to finish the beef tenderloin because the portion seemed big but surprisingly, I did heehee. It was just so juicy and tender!

For the kids, they had Creamy Egg Omelette in Crispy Yam Nest, Pan Seared Chicken Cordon Bleu and Crispy Truffle Fries and Strawberry Tartlets with White Chocolate Sauce.

Lil Pumpkin was a very good girl and ate about 80% of her food. I don't want to jinx it but her appetite has been rather good lately and sometimes she can finish a bowl of rice, plus desserts and fruits! She's also more adventurous with her food and willing to try new dishes and flavours. She tried every single item on her plate that day. Well done my dear!

Her chicken was a little undercooked in some parts unfortunately. Luckily I discovered before she ate them. I sent it back to the kitchen and the staff were so apologetic and offered to replace the dish. By that time Lil Pumpkin just wanted more fries so we only requested for that. Their chef packed us another Chicken Cordon Bleu for take-away though. No doubt even the best restaurants make mistakes at times but I hope they will be more careful, especially with kids food. A good thing that their service recovery was fast and sincere.

After brunch Lil Pumpkin finally got to do her egg-painting. She was waiting for it eagerly throughout the whole meal haha. Also, the wacky Easter Bunny came back to make his rounds. Look at it creeping up behind the boy and Lil Pumpkin...

The boy and I got our hands dirty and painted an egg each too :) It was pretty fun and therapeutic.. no wonder Lil Pumpkin likes painting so much! See our egg-painting Vine video here. After that, we went on the egg-hunt to find Kinder surprise eggs hidden inside the restaurant and outside on the grass before calling it a day.

Such a lovely family brunch! We don't go to brunches often enough because the boy works even weekend mornings so I'm glad we managed to attend this and end our long weekend with a bang! The Eggventure Easter Event happens annually at 7Adam so do check it out next year if you like.

That bunny is everywhere! He loves the camera I think. Shame about the chicken, but like you said even the best restaurants make mistakes. Lucky you caught it.

Sounds like a fantastic way to spend Easter Sunday. Although I must say the bunny looks a little scary, I'm impressed Lil Pumpkin had no worries! Food looks awesome too, I reckon you might have to make another trip there at some stage!
