Kids Beach Essentials: Disney Princess Havaianas

Sun's up!! I think the monsoon season has finally left us and there's been more bright days filled with sunshine rather wet ones lately. Excellent for the beach!! And nothing says beachwear like flip-flops, of course!

Havaianas flip-flops are buttery-soft, flexible and durable. It was my staple during uni days in Australia. The boy and I had a matching Valentine's Day special edition which lasted us for years! I love their limited-edition series, fun designs and beautiful collaborations with various fashions houses like Missoni and Manalo B. Who knew flip-flops could be so fashionable?? Did you also know that Havaianas are modeled after the Japanese zori {草履, sandals made of rice straw}? That's why they have that distinctive rice textured pattern!! :)
After its successful launch in 2012, Havaianas recently refreshed it's Disney Princess series with 4 new sweet and captivating designs for Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White and Belle. For our Little Mermaid-loving beach babe {notice her bikini has a mermaid design too?!}, she was definitely happy to get her hands {or rather, feet!} on Princess Ariel Havaianas with a glamourous metallic strap to match.

So easy to wear and wash after sand-play, and definitely added a little princess sparkle to her step! Lil Pumpkin's wearing size USA 11/12C. We got them slightly bigger than usual as she won't be wearing them daily {as much as I love them, I don't want her to wear shoes without support too often}, and children's feet grows pretty fast.  She can still run, jump, walk comfortably in them though.

For a 4 year old, USA 9/10C would be a more snug fit I reckon.

A few other friends got the slippers for their little girls too and they love them as well. Wish they came in adult sizes! Lil Pumpkin has rekindled my love for Disney Princesses and I want a Princess Ariel one to match hers too haha

The Disney Princess Havaianas are retailing at S$29.90 each and are sold exclusively at Motherswork {Tanglin Mall, Marina Bay Sands, Great World City} and Mothercare {all outlets except Causeway Point}. The enchanting princesses are also joined by other Disney favourites with the launch of Kids Minnie and Baby Cars {especially for the tiny ones and inspired by the Disney Pixar Animation - Cars}. Definitely a great gift for any Disney-loving kiddo, especially with the June hols coming up.. which means more time to have fun in the surf & sand!

What are your beach essentials for the kids?

* Disclosure: Havaianas provided the Disney Princess Ariel flip-flops for review. No monetary compensation was received, and all opinions are my own.

They are so cute!! My kids aren't fans of thongs though, for some weird reason.

They are such great thongs aren't they? We have a couple of pairs here. Swinging by as part of #teamIBOT and leaving some fairy wishes and butterfly kisses

Very nice designs indeed! Even though I don't like thongs really... don't like having something between my toes.

Ditto for me... while looking for things for kids, I end up wanting them for myself too!

My daughter LIVES in thongs (or Jandals as us Kiwis call them) she would ADORE these! Great video - Em x
