Lil Pumpkin and I are still in Japan, but before we left, we made a little handmade gift for the boy for Father's Day.
Surprise my dear!!! Sorry that we aren't able to spend the day with you {no chance for you to attend Lil Pumpkin's Father's Day celebration in preschool again} but we wanted to at least give you something to mark the special day :)
It was a mad rush before we left for the hols to settle work, plan our travel itinerary and schedule blog posts, so I didn't have time to head out with Lil Pumpkin to buy a gift. I'm sure the boy appreciates gifts made with love anyway.
I asked Lil Pumpkin "what's daddy's favourite colour?" and she said "blue" {actually it's green}, so she painted the background of this mini canvas in blue. I asked Lil Pumpkin "what animal does daddy remind you of?" and she said "a lion!" so I drew the circus lion {pardon my kiddy drawing!}. I showed her a few photos of lions and she like
this one so I based my drawing on it. I think she chose lion because both of them like to pretend to be lions and roar all over the house ahaha
Lil Pumpkin helped paint parts of the lion while I tidied it up a little. Took us just about 1.5hrs and I'm so happy with the result. Hope the boy likes it too!

P.S. The lion painting is hidden in the bottom right shelf of Lil Pumpkin's kitchen set. Behind the platter of "bread". Go find it! :P
