Wordless Wednesday {linky party}: Aki's Traditional Japanese Wedding in Kanazawa

We were in Japan the past 1.5 weeks so I didn't have time to take photos for the Joys of Parenting series, sorry! Hope you enjoyed the photos from the highlight of our trip - Aki and Toshi's wedding in Kanazawa! It was a beautiful traditional Japanese wedding where Aki wore the white shiromuku {白無垢} and red uchikake {打掛} kimonos... gorgeous!

So happy Lil Pumpkin and I could have been there to share your joy. Wishing the both of you a long and blessed marriage! ご結婚おめでとうございます。新しい人生のスタートにあたり、これからの長い道のりをお二人で力を合わせて進まれることを、心よりお祈りいたします。明るく楽しい家庭を築いてください。

So nice to see a wedding ceremony from another land and culture.

gosh it sure looked formal! The colours of the clothes are gorgeous - so good to see another culture wedding traditions. In Australia we don't have many set traditions and weddings are from personal choices.
