A Flower Girl & Her Daddy

Last Sunday we attended another wedding, our third one for June!!! At our age, we can expect to attend more weddings than usual as our friends start to get married one by one.. we have another 2 weddings coming up later this year.

I'm a very emo wedding guest. I'd be the one crying {with joy!}, sniffing into a tissue with make-up running down my face. The boy just looks at me funny but will gladly handover the tissues heh. I'm especially emo when I'm friends with both the bride and groom, and understand the ups and downs they went through before getting to this beautiful point in their relationship. For Cheryl and Ken, I've known them since I was a kid and they have been together for around 15 years before they got married on Sunday. Wow!

They asked Lil Pumpkin to be their flower girl and we're happy to say she was a very good one! No "monster walk", no running down the aisle or going off-track.. well done my dear :) This is her second experience as a flower girl. She was one 3 years ago at Maryann's wedding.

When I see Lil Pumpkin in her flower girl dress holding the bouquet, I wistfully think that soon, it will be her own wedding too {told ya I'm an emo wedding guest!}. Her turn to be a Princess in white, marrying her Prince Charming.

I wonder if the boy feels the same way too.. like how our little girl is growing up so quickly and one day he'll be giving her hand away to the man she loves. Maybe then, he will be the emo one ;p

One thing I know for sure though is although some day Lil Pumpkin will meet her Prince Charming, the boy will always be her dear Daddy King. :) Don't grow up too quickly, our darling...

Are you an emo wedding guest too?

OMG look at her, so cute. I remember the days we did weddings. I don't know if I'll go to another one in the next ten years I think those days have passed us for now.

Yep I tend to be a bit of crier when it comes to wedding. I just love Pumpkins shoes!

Oh my, those shoes are too cute! Lil Pumpkin made for a cuter flower girl though! Congrats to the new couple. They are a beautiful couple! (I think those are the ones that were on your Instagram this week that this post is about?)

I must admit the older I get the more teary I get at wedding, especially when its a close relative. Lil Pumpkin looks beautiful in her flower girl dress! I too think about those things and what it might be like when Punky grows up and gets married and then I sap myself because its too sad and I don't want it to happen! I know Dave will definitely be balling his eyes out at his little girls wedding when the time comes, heck he balled his eyes at ours!

Absolutely love your pics! And I totally commiserate with you being emo at weddings... if I were there, we'd finish the whole box of tissues. :)

You would have been a mess at the wedding I was at last week then! The groom was sobbing and the bride had tears everywhere! It was so cute and romantic.
Love lil Pumpkin's pink shoes in contrast with her flower girl dress. She is so funky :)

I definitely get emo too, thinking about my daughters getting married in the future! Right now though, Bubbles says she does not want to get married so that she can live with me forever. haha!

Hi hi! Can I know where you got the flower girl dress? It's too sweet! I need to get one for my daughter as well but I just can't seem to find a simple, elegant and sweet one. Please tell!
