When you see rocks on the ground, you call them "magic stones". When you're waiting for your food at the dinner table, you say your spoon is your "make-up brush". Clouds in the sky are dancing animals and yesterday while we were getting ready to go out, you insisted that you were a Pirate Princess and went around the house gathering your jewels to wear {and asking for an eye patch! Gotta make one for you later}.
That's the way children are. They see magic and beauty in everything, and let their imagination run wild. They care not for what things are, but for what things can become. And my dear, that's the way Mummy hopes you will be even as you grow up. That your eyes are still filled with wonder for the slightest things, and you still have the sense to harness the magic in everything to make it work for you... to inspire you to do great things, and to explore the unknown.
When Mummy was a little girl, I used to draw fairies and write fairy-tales. Somehow time and reality bit, and I didn't see the fairies anymore. I didn't get excited as easily, I didn't get awestruck as easily. A rock is just a rock is just a rock. Where's the magic in that piece of stone??
However, thankfully you came around and showed me there is still magic in the world, and we just have to look for it. I love pretending that there are crocodiles in puddles, that the moon is playing hide-and-seek with us, and light-sticks are magic wands to kill all the bad monsters. You've inspired me to dream longer and bigger even if nobody else sees that dream but me.
Keep looking for magic, Lil Pumpkin, and don't let any cynical adults ever change you.

That's the magic of little kids. :) Yet I sometimes just want to get the chore done... that is NOT a xxx, it's food, now eat your dinner! Haha sometimes no time to entertain.
