I Made: Easy DIY Photo iPhone Cover Tutorial

I ordered a Castegram iPhone case {customised cases using your Instagram or Facebook photos} but my current cover is falling apart real bad. I don't think it can last until the Castegram arrives so I decided to just make my own DIY Photo iPhone Cover!! :) Super easy and it doesn't cost much. The whole crafting took only about 1 hour too.

I printed a small photo with my Canon Pixma printer. You can use photographic papers for better quality but I thought they would be too thick so I just used normal office papers. I chose this one of Lil Pumpkin and Sleeping Beauty from our Hong Kong Disneyland trip.

Materials:
- Clear iPhone cover case
- Washi tapes
- Gemstone stickers
- Decopatch {or Mod Podge} glue
- Stamps
- Inkpad

Locally, you can get the materials from Daiso and art supply stores like Art Friend and Spotlight.

Start off by trimming the photo to fit your cover. I left it as a rectangle but you can shape it into hearts, circles, diamonds etc. Stick it to the cover with the glue.

Decorate with the washi-tapes, stamps and stickers.

Don't forget the sides! :P

Lastly, paint over the entire cover with a coat or two of the Decopatch glue. Decopatch glue is like Mod Podge glue. Both are used to glue something down and also act as a protective layer over the craft {instead of a varnish}. You can find them in a gloss, satin, or matte finish.

It's not necessary, but I always use it, especially when I craft with washi tapes and want the finished product to last longer. Hope you can try it out! It'll make a nice personalised Christmas gift for sure :)

Oh this is so cool. If I had something like this, I might not lose my phone 7 times a day. It's just so skinny and all black and camouflages into everything I put it down on. I think my never-ending search for my phone has given me most of my grey hairs! Thanks so much for posting this. Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas season.
