Oh goodness, I think the last time I stayed in a chalet was when I was a teenager! :P
Somebody once mentioned that my "About" page isn't very telling. Agreed. I wrote it that way so that it's enough as an introduction to me and my blog, but to really get to know us.. you actually have to read the blog haha. To read each story, to understand each day of our lives, to know our personalities.
And here is one post you shouldn't miss to understand more about our love story, because to commemorate our 11 years together, I want to share 11 things you didn't know about hubby and me :)

1. We've had various terms of endearment for each other through the years, however, our most-frequently used ones are Chubbinity {Chubby + Trinity} and Poogeo {Poogey + Neo}. Yup, you can see that we are quite the Matrix fans haha.
2. We had a long distance relationship for 4 years while I was finishing up my last year of uni / working in Japan, and he was working in Singapore.
3. We've been celebrating each monthiversary since we got together on 2 March 2003. It's not as grand as it used to be, but we will at least wish each other.
4. The boy sleeps on the left side of the bed, while I'm on the right.
5. The worst dish I ever cooked for him was spam and pasta {it wast the only thing left in our dorm kitchen as we just flew back for the term!}. He still taunts me about it to this day.
6. According to him, our first date was to Kardinya. I thought that was just a groceries trip haha. I count our first date as our night out in Freo. He brought me to a quaint little Italian restaurant and he had veal. I think I had pasta.
7. I met the boy because he stayed in the same dorm apartment as my friend. I was sitting in the living room watching TV when he came to chat with me.
8. He's not much of a writer, but he takes the effort to write me poems for time to time *grins*
9. We have matching tattoos designed by me on our left wrists.
10. The boy proposed one night in a park near my parent's place. No flowers or grand shows of affection.. but he did get down on one knee ;)
11. Signs we were "meant to be" - same mole placements on our index fingers and butt cheeks, he shares the same birthday as my dad, while I've the same birthday as his brother.

That is too cute that you still celebrate your monthiversary after all these years. It's the little things in a relationship that keeps things lively and fresh I think.

I love it! All those are sweet things to know.
I proposed to my husband first. I put a plastic ring in a Cracker Jacks box with a loop of paper around it that said, "Will you marry me?"
We were also friends for years before we got romantically involved.

Aww bless Ai, thanks for sharing those sweet things. Happy anniversary. My hubby and I had virtually the same upbringing which means we have so much in common. We confessed our love for each other just 6 weeks after meeting each other!

So sweet! =) Chubbinity and moles, omg. Haha. The hubby and I would wish each other on our monthliversaries too (ah huh, we somehow add the 'l' there) but now that you remind me, I have a bit lost track of the number! Have fun at the chalet, babe, I love chalets and having a family retreat there is very much different from having a gather with teen friends, but both are as awesome!
