BIGBANG {빅뱅} Singapore Fan Meeting 2014 | Date Night at Singapore Indoor Stadium

Last weekend the boy brought me out to a date night a little different from our usual dinners and movies. We went to watch one of his favourite bands - BIGBANG {빅뱅}, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. I'm not a die-hard fan, but I do like some of their songs.

BIGBANG was performing in Singapore for one night only as part of their "Thinking of You" Fan Meeting Show. Formed in 2006, they are one of the most popular {or maybe even the most popular??} bands from South Korea at the moment because of their unique urban music and flamboyant fashion style. Not counting their numerous Asian music awards, they've also won international awards from MTV Europe Music Awards and MTV Italy TRL Awards.

The group consists of G-Dragon, T.O.P. Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri but only G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri could make time out of their busy schedule to go on tour now. I think a lot of the fans {especially those that like T.O.P.} were disappointed that the whole group couldn't perform together, but since the boy likes mainly G-Dragon and Taeyang, it was still worthwhile to go.

The boy's OOTD wearing his OFF-WHITE jeans, PIGALLE tank-top and Chromeheart accessories... Oh, he's holding the official light stick for BIGBANG fans. Apparently most Korean pop stars and bands have different official colours and/or light sticks for their fans haha.

Official BIGBANG memorabilia sold outside the concert venue. BIGBANG bears, files, jackets, bags, light sticks, accessories etc. Although we arrived about 1 hour before the show started, some items were already sold out!

Like the G-Dragon bear! The boy bought a Taeyang bear for Lil Pumpkin, the light stick and the set of cord bracelets.

It was the first time in a very long time since I went to the Singapore Indoor Stadium. It's really huge! We bought Cat 3 tickets and were seated second row behind that low wall you see in the picture. Not too bad actually and if we go watch another show there, won't mind getting the same seats.

Ta-dah we are here~!

Was pretty hungry before the Fan Meeting Show started so I grabbed a hot dog from the food stand. You can't bring in any outside food or drinks.

The Fan Meeting Show was divided into 2 sections - the fan meeting and the mini concert.

For the fan meeting, only 8 fans were randomly chosen from the hundreds to go on stage, and out of those 8, only 3 actually got to meet, play games and talk to the boys!! You have to be reaaaaaallly lucky to meet them!

One of the games was for the boys to dress a girl each in a certain look. G-Dragon {above} was supposed to dress his girl to look "cute". I guess he likes Harry Potter kinda cute ahahahahahah.

Seungri {above} was supposed to dress his girl to look "sexy". I guess he likes the sex kitten kinda sexy :P

Before the Fan Meeting Show, I didn't really know much about Seungri, the youngest member of BIGBANG, since the boy only talks about G-Dragon and Taeyang. However, I found Seungri to be really, really hilarious. He was the only one to really try and hold a conversation in English too.

I took some videos of the songs we like {sorry for the quality as it's from my iPhone} and uploaded to my Youtube channel {@AiSakuraHaruka}. The song above is Ringa Linga by Taeyang. In addition to being a popular group, they are all individual superstars as well and have released solo albums.

This is one of G-Dragon's popular solo songs, Crayon.

My fave song from BIGBANG is Fantastic Baby! All their songs are insanely upbeat and energetic, and their choreography is pretty intense so I wondered if they lip-synched because seriously, can someone dance so much and sing well at the same time? I googled that and apparently I'm not the only one who wondered haha.

From what I read online, BIGBANG is part of the Korean YG Entertainment Group that rarely allows its artists to lip synch, and past concert-goers said that they are one of the top groups worth paying money for to see live, because they really sing live passionately. If that's true, then wow #respect.

Thanks for bringing me to watch them dear, I had a great time with you that night!

It looks like a fun show! Even if it wasn't your favorite artist ever, the light show alone is sweet!

I like your husband's style in the picture.

LOL at the 'Harry Potter cute'.

Somehow wouldn't have placed your hubs as a Korean band fan, but what the hey, you guys looked like you had a world of fun!

Sounds like a fun date night you had. I'm not a Korean fan but I do enjoy their music and they sure have lots of showmanship.
