Easter 2014 | 10 Bunny-Cute Cupcakes for Parties!

Easter falls on Sunday, 20 Apr this year. It's a time for us Christians to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay for our sin. It is a celebration of life, hope and love and a great day to share with family and friends.

I'm planning an Easter party with some friends and was looking for some cupcakes to bake as it's going to be a potluck thing. There really are so many adorable Easter cupcakes designs that I'm having a hard time deciding! I've narrowed it down to these 10 Bunny-Cute Cupcakes for an egg-cellent holiday celebration.

{source unknown- sorry!}
1. Jesus Christ is the reason for the season and we can show it with these lovely Cross Cupcakes.  I'm thinking of using either chocolate, pretzel sticks or wafers to make the cross.

2. Peeps Cupcakes! Highly popular during Easter in the U.S. & Canada, Peeps are marshmallow candies in the shapes of chicks, rabbits or other animals and look great as toppers for Easter cupcakes. Locally, I've seen them sold at Cold Storage and Marketplace supermarkets.

3. These Miniature Easter Baskets are just full of sweet goodness! We can fill them with chocolate eggs, mini rabbit sweets, jelly beans etc and use liquorice as the handles.

4. Hmmm... or instead of miniature baskets, how about a Giant Easter Basket instead?? :P

5. Easter usually falls in Spring, which is also a season for renewal of life. These Floral Cupcakes with jellybeans are so cheery and beautiful~

6. You can't really have an Easter party for kids without the Easter Bunny, right? These Easter Bunny Cupcakes look pretty simple to make and I love the fluffy bunny tail detail on the cupcake holder!

7. If the kids come dressed as Easter Bunnies, I'm sure they would love to nibble on these Carrot Garden Cupcakes!

8. Surprise Bunny Cupcakes seem like fun! This is a little twist on the bunny cupcakes and would require less decoration time.

9. Cupcakes in Real Egg Shells would make another amazing unexpected surprise! I can just imagine the look on the kiddos' faces when they realise that their "hard-boiled egg" is actually a sweet treat ;)

10. Or maybe just print out these free Easter Toppers and have everybody decorate the cupcakes themselves?

So, which Easter cupcake design should I choose?? :)

I like the easter egg basket! Hadn't thought of the lolly strap as a handle. I might just try that one!

Those cupcakes look great, but you know me, I'll probably outsource, not much of a cooker! x

They are all cute! I like the jelly bean ones. They look simple to do, and it's all edible. Having to take off candy to unwrap, and eat first might be cumbersome to little kids.

Easter Bunny is my choice. Maybe can create a dash of colours. Not just plain white. Yellow bunnies, light blue bunnies, pink bunnies would be quite colourful.
