More Mother-Daughter Matchy-Matchy Dress Finds!

I shared with you tips on how to How to Work the Matchy-Matchy Mini-Me Fashion Trend and well, here are more of my favourite dresses from our local Glitter Glam and its child label spinoff, Mary Had A Little Lamb!

All still made be fabulously good materials that are thick, yet soft and strong enough for any tumble and play {from both of us haha} but I think these styles are a bit more formal than what I featured earlier... paired with a pretty pair of heels & simple accessories, these are dresses I'd wear to weddings, dinners, cocktail parties etc.

Lil Pumpkin and I always get HEAPS of compliments whenever we wear our Glitter Glam / Mary Had A Little Lamb dresses out.. either together, or separately #nokidding

I guess other people are drawn to the strong colours and bold prints as well. The reddish/pink geometric details of this dress definitely caught my eye the moment I stepped into the shop.

In school, we learn that geometry is a branch of mathematics concerned with questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space. However in fashion, it can represent a mod throwback to the 1960s, or a nod towards the future. Geometric patterns can be both clean and minimalistic, or bold and wild. I guess this dress belongs to the latter :)

This print on this is pretty abstract but I think the teal and purple swirls goes very beautifully together.

I hardly wear purple so this is a good addition to my wardrobe. Another reason I chose it is because of the flattering slimmer fit, which I think in turn makes me look slimmer too hahahaha.

The print comes in another skater dress silhouette as well that features a lightweight flare and oval neckline. Both cut come with front side pockets, which can be so handy!

When Lil Pumpkin saw these blue dresses, she shouted, "Oh they look like seashells! So pretty~" Indeed, they are. They have an interesting mid-high collar too, which gives off a bit of an oriental feel like the Chinese-style cheongsams that I so adore.

Hmmm how long more do you think Lil Pumpkin will continue to wear matchy-matchy clothes with me before she thinks it's too kitsch??  :P She's growing up so fast and getting even more headstrong... sometimes I wonder aloud where she gets her stubborn streak from and the boy will answer, "YOU!". Okkkk #thanksnothanks

If you don't think it's too kitsch and would like to dress matchy-matchy with your little ones too, drop by Glitter Glam and Mary Had A Little Lamb, which just started a boys collection last month as well.

Promo: Spend S$100 and receive a S$30 gift voucher at their boutique store in Harbourfront Centre. Valid until 30 June 2014.

P.S. In case you're wondering, our matchy-matchy jelly sandals are from Holsters :) A great option for matching mother-daughter style footwear!

P.P.S. The last 3 photos were taken just before sunset. I love the soft glow and how the light bounces. No wonder they call it the "golden hour" for taking photographs! Must try to shoot more during this time :)
