Someone up there must have heard me lamenting that my current vacuum cleaner is a hassle to lug around though because recently, I received the new Bosch Athlet Cordless Handstick Vacuum Cleaner!! Yippee yay! Vacuuming is so much more enjoyable now :)

The Athlet does what it says it's supposed to do and is great at vacuuming Lil Pumpkin's slide, all types of tiles at home, and even my carpets.
I was pretty surprised at this since I heard cordless battery-powered models often lack suction power. However, this latest model from Bosch is as powerful as a 2,400-watt canister vacuum cleaner and is fabulous at picking up everything, even fine dust and random tissue bits from our carpets! And oh yes, our hair too. I've no idea why Lil Pumpkin and I shed so much hair! :P

There's also a handy light indicator to tell you when its internal filter needs to be cleaned. No matter if you use a cordless vacuum cleaner or not, anyone with a bagless vacuum cleaner knows that you have to change the filters regularly to ensure optimum cleaning performance. That is the part of I hate to do though and usually leave it until it's too late and by then, the vacuum cleaner isn't as efficient. Oops!
With the Athlet, the system immediately indicates when the filter cartridge needs to be cleaned. It only needs to be given a rinse though, and not replaced. Like the dirt container {which I also don't like to clean}, it's very easy to remove and empty, even when full. I won't say that I like doing these jobs now, but at least it's not as troublesome as before.

I'm not going to say no to extra help in cleaning our home, and love watching her help around the house :) I actually think it's pretty important that she helps with the household chores as it teaches her responsibility and an appreciation for the warm, loving home she lives in.
The Bosch Athlet is currently available at all leading departmental and electrical stores island-wide. It comes in dark navy or white, and prices start from S$599. It is probably more premium than other cordless vacuum cleaners, but for the convenience and advantages it comes with, you will get your money's worth back.
If you know someone who loves vacuuming as much as I do, this might make a great gift this Christmas for him/her ;) And with the Chinese New Year just around the corner, this handy home appliance is just what you need to get yourself and your home prepared to welcome friends and family.

I could use one of those. We don't have a lot of things we vacuum around here. We have all wood floors, and a leather sofa. I do have a few rugs, and the inside of the couches I vacuum.
You even got Lil Pumpkin to use it! Anything that gets the kids to want to do chores is fantastic in my book!
We have a stick vac and my kids LOVE using it! I hope you're really well Ai. Em x
You like vacuumning... ok I am not going to be with you for the rest of this post haha.
That sounds like an awesome vacuum! I love that you put the little one to work ;)
That would be way easier for the kids to use than the kind with a cord!! I'm so over the cord here sometimes. I really hate when it unplugs because I've moved too far from the wall. ;)
Oh, Ai…I will happily let you do my vacuuming if you like :)
But I do love Bosch. We have a Bosch dryer and it was the best choice for energy conservation. And going cordless is the best idea! Ever!
Merry Christmas to you and your gorgeous family. Big hugs to Lil Pumpkin! x
Alissa: You mean you can't vacuum wooden floors?? Is it because you're worried it will scratch?
Theresa: Yes, easy for her to use too! haha
Em: Thanks dear. We are well!
Stacy: haha yes I do!! Hate laundry and washing dishes :P
Masshole Mommy: Totally milking it while she thinks it's "fun" :P
mail4rosey: hate when that happens too!
Grace: A dryer sure eats up a lot of energy. Happy Holidays to you and your darling family too :)
Hmm I need a cordless vacuum! Happy holiday to you and family :)
Hi, I was looking for a vacuum cleaner and came across your site. How noisy is the vacuum cleaner? I have 3 kids and usually do my housecleaning when they are asleep.
Rina: It is sooooo handy!
Wendy: I think it's not that bad actually, especially if you use the lowest level which is ok for normal vacuuming. I vacuum outside sometimes when my girl sleeps, but the room door will be closed and it's ok for her. You should test it out at the shops first to see if it suits you :)
