Wordless Wednesday {linky}: Family Obento Ideas - Homemade Spam & Tamagoyaki Maki Roll | Week 50

What's in my obento this week?
Homemade Spam & Tamagoyaki Maki Roll with Fried Chicken & Salad.

Been too busy to cook since hubby was in surgery but
thankful there's mummy to save the day &
pack yummy food for me to eat in the hospital! :)

Obento {お弁当} is a home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine and doesn't always need to be complicated or time-consuming. I hope to inspire you to create delicious, everyday obento meals for your family with these simple ideas and tools.

These photos are part of the 52 Weeks Family Obento Ideas series.

I don't know about the spam, but I love Tamagoyaki Maki Rolls!

*My husband did the swirls on the top of our gingerbread house.

I know it sounds kinda weird with the spam, but it adds a really savoury taste to it! :p

It looks good, but you need to rename it. Spam - yuck.

Fast recovery to your hubby...

Amused to see the comments on spam. It's a widely liked food in our corner of the world eh? Then again maybe ours is Chinese-style.

I have never had spam before. Always wondered what it would taste like though. I think I would probably like the homemade version much better!
