Where is this week's playground?
Block 858, Tampines Avenue 5.
Walking distance from the Mangosteen Playground.
FUN Factor?
8/10. Old swing is gone but the slide is pretty fast!
Extra point for unique playground design. One of the Singapore Heritage Playgrounds.
Do check out the Pipit Mini Dragon, Bishan Clock, Dakota Crescent Dove,
Tampines Mangosteen, AMK Dragon, Toa Payoh Mini Dragon & TPY Dragon.
Check out our DIY Doll-sized Watermelon Playground here.
Play is important for children to learn, grow and discover the world we live in.
As we visit as many fun, nostalgic and even quirky playgrounds as we can this year,
I hope to inspire you to make play an even bigger part of your kids' lives and
explore much more of our beautiful Singapore!

Looks so cool.
I wish we had playgrounds that looked this cool. I'd never leave! Er, I mean, the kids would never leave!
Wow 52 parks, you will be busy. This is very unique!
Very nice. Made of materials that will last long too.
Seriously, how cute is that?! I love the glass cube bits too - safety must not be compromised! haha.

Wow, it must be fun to be a playground planner in Singapore!
I wish we have many parks like this in Indonesia :( Sometimes I miss Dubai, Doha and Singapore. Not just because we have stayed there or been there many times but also because they have awesome parks for kids..and the best part is mostly are free.

That watermelon looks good enough to eat! Or, well, you know - play in. ;) You guys have the coolest playgrounds!! I want to come play! :)

That looks so much fun! I Wish we have something like that here. SO cute =)
Wow how fun! I think I might have to suggest we liven up our play areas with something so imaginative!
There used to be another Watermelon Playground with sandplay. It's been demolished already :(((

Happy Wordless Wednesday!
You have the best playgrounds! We are lucky to get a swing and monkey bars!
I'd love to rediscover the old streets of Katong with my children through... what else but food! Especially the Red House Bakery (which is sadly no longer in operations, oh how I wish it'll be revived)!
I grew up there and experienced such amazing kampong spirit back then. We used to spend most of our weekend tea-breaks at Red House Bakery. I still can't find a hotdog baked quite like the ones found there. It was a very sad day for us when the bakery officially closed :(
Thankfully, just a little down the road, there is Chin Mee Chin Confectionery. It's still in operations, and I've brought my children there for tea before. They absolutely love the cakes!
There's also a gem in the food court within Katong Shopping Centre, which serves the most delicious roasted chicken rice! And within the same building, another old school bakery that serves delightful treats!
There's definitely much to discover with my children through our sense of taste!
