Last year's birthday was kinda emo as I was turning 30 and leaving my twenties behind seemed like such a big deal. I had a list of things I wanted to complete before turning 30 and a lot of "expectations" of what life should be when I reached that milestone.
A year later, I'm less anxious and definitely less emo. In fact, I'm so relaxed that I haven't put much thought into my birthday this year actually. Age is but a number and we are living life by its moments.
All I wanted to do was to strike one more item off my 30 Before 30 list {admittedly a tad late!!} and go to Vietnam.. somewhere I've been thinking of exploring for a very long time.
I thought the boy wouldn't be too keen since we just came back our Spring break in Japan, but he said OK so yes we are heading to Vietnam in a few short hours :) Woohoo~
And continuing with my
Yup, I'm looking forward to going for massages, eating yummy Viet food, and buying a few áo dài, the Vietnamese national costumes which look pretty similar to cheongsams. That shouldn't be too hard to do since we're headed to Ho Chi Minh, the largest city in Vietnam, right??
I'm taking this time to go on a digital detox as well, to disconnect online and connect back fully with my family. Won't be bringing my iPhone!! :P Just want to quieten down my heart and mind to live in the now and enjoy our short holiday in Vietnam together, instead of getting distracted with some online conversation or unconsciously looking at things on the blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
As such, sorry but I won't be replying to any online messages during our hols. I'll definitely be writing about it on the blog when we return so do check back. It should be an interesting trip!

See ya all when we get back!

It's turning 20, 30, 40 etc which seems a big deal when the number in front changes. After that it's just another small change. :)
