Where is this week's playground?
Småland, Level 2, IKEA Alexandra, 317 Alexandra Road.
FUN Factor?
7.5/10. Småland is a supervised indoor play area near the store entrance.
It is secure as adults have to sign their kids in and out for the 1 hour FREE play.
With inspirations from a magical forest, there's a big ball pond,
spider webs strong enough to climb and clogs so big you can hide inside.
It’s great for jumping, climbing, running and kids can also rest and watch cartoons on a TV.
There are also kiddy toilets within the area.
The playground has been around for many years since the store opened
and although it looks well-maintained, I think it is due for an update to brighten the place up.
Note that it is gets really crowded on weekends/ holidays.
Sometimes they hold special activities & workshops,
but kids have to be a member of Ikea Kids Club {småles} first.
Only for kids 0.9m - 1.3m tall who are toilet-trained.
Open daily 10am - 11pm {last entry at 10pm}
Play is important for children to learn, grow and discover the world we live in.
As we visit as many fun, nostalgic and even quirky playgrounds as we can this year,
I hope to inspire you to make play an even bigger part of your kids' lives and
explore much more of our beautiful Singapore!
