I'm not really one to give up a good dare, but seriously, I don't know where to get a potato sack in Singapore! Probably because I don't go to the market often enough haha... But anyway, I found a good substitute which I think will work just as well ;p
Behold, the household Garbage Bag.....

My hubby says it actually looks good like faux leather so SCORE!! :) Now, I'm no fashion designer or seamstress, so these are just simple garbage bag dresses that I threw together in about 20 mins each. In other words, you can make them too! All you need is
There are heaps of other ways I can think of wearing a garbage bag, but I've no time to execute them all. If you have tried making a garbage bag dress, let me know! I'd love to see how you wore it!
*****- A large black garbage bag {no, really.. ;p}
- A pair of scissors
- A belt to cinch & give the dress some shape
- Some clear cellotape for structuring
- Lots of imagination & confidence to pull it off {very important!!}

This is pretty awesome! Didn't it get hot and sticky after a while? You can certainly pull off wearing a garbage bag lol! I love it.
Very interesting, I would love it if you shared this here:

Wow, way to make a trash bag look like high fashion!
This reminds me so much of orientation games where we have to create a dress using random items. In fact, I think a contestant from Project Runway did a dress a like that, but yours rocks so much much more!
That's awesome! Reminds me of that crazy Aussie lady from the 90's, Jeannie Little, who always used to go on the Midday Show in these amazingly extravagant dresses made from shopping and garbage bags.
Brandi: haha if you do try it, let me know! I wanna see!
Vanessa: yeah it did but I was in my room so it wasn't that bad ;p
Julie: thanks for the invitation! will pop over :)
Quirky Jessi: oh you flatter me so ;p
Susan: Wow I haven't watched Project Runway in ages since Chriatian Sirrano won! Are they showing it now?
Bee: I'm gonna google her now haha
Hahaha! You're my hero. I love your sense of humor :)
Wow !!! That is TOTALLY cool !! You look so hot ! I really love the belt and especially the shoes - they really match the dress ! You're just too talented ! :D
Okay, I have to take my hat off to you! If you don't work in fashion, maybe you should! You've outdone yourself with the challenge Mama Grace and I dared you to try. Brilliant!
I don't think I could pull it off, but I think you look fantastic!
Well done!
xx Sannah
Heh. You are talented! And look great too.
Honestly, you make that look amazing!
I think you could start a whole new fashion line there? :)
Naomi: haha thanks!
Grace: thanks! The accessories help maketh the dress I guess :)
Veronica: heh I'm still keeping the potato sack at the back of my head so it might be posted one day :p
Sannah: thanks! Give it a try!
Jayne: thanks love!
Jess: wonder if anybody would buy it though haha
This is funny. The tube style is not bad at all! You could make a cute rain coat with it too I would think;)
Nice to find you on Reflexions!...
