SORARIMAN ソラリーマン: Daddy Dru Jumps! in Japan + Win The Wind in the Willows Family Show Tickets

Sorariman is a play on the words sora {空, sky} and salary man. Inspired by Aoyama Yuki's Sorariman series where he takes portraits of fathers in their work suits jumping goofily beside their daughters, the boy and I decided to spoof this and get him to jump next to Lil Pumpkin during our recent trip around Japan too.

Getting him to jump wasn't a problem. The hard part was getting Lil Pumpkin not to jump with her daddy!! :P Here are some of the shots we took...

Daddy Dru Jumps! under the Sakura tree
Daddy Dru Jumps! in Nagoya Castle
Daddy Dru Jumps! with Giant Goku {Dragonball Z}
Daddy Dru Jumps! in Miyajima
Daddy Dru Jumps! in Akashi Castle
Daddy Dru Jumps! in Kyoto
Daddy Dru Jumps! in Fushimi-Inari
I think the results are pretty hilarious! Not all dads are stoic and serious; some are carefree and fun-loving like the boy too :) We will continue on with this as a special father-daughter thing for him and Lil Pumpkin. It'll be so fun for them to look back on in the future o (◡‿◡✿)

Follow our jumping shot updates and check out other pics with our hashtag #daddydrujumps in Instagram and Facebook (●´∀`●)

If you do this with your kids too, please share with me your photos!

My tip to my daughter (currently in P1) is to make friends with everyone, get to know everyone in class before picking a best friend. Kids tend to play, get into misunderstandings and easily get hurt these days.

my best tip to prepare for P1 is to get my children into routines, e.g time to sleep/ time to awake and packing bag on their own.

My best tip to prepare for P1:

I will educate my children that bullying exists everywhere. If my child is the victim, simply walking away is the best solution and encourage my child to tell me or tell his teacher. Everyday have to chitchat with my child relate to school, friends or extra lessons, mealtimes to see any different in behaviour or drawback.

Daddy Dru is really good at his jumpsuits, especially the ones that look like he was floating. Would make a nice compilation for Father's Day.

This tip might be unconventional. However, it'll do the kid good in the long run. If the kid forgets to bring his art bag or a piece of homework or lunch money, don't rush down to his school. Chances are, you might not get to see him anyway. Calm yourself and wait. He might or might not get a punishment. Ask him what happened in school. Ask him what he plans to do to remember things. He'll probably come up with something, regardless its effectiveness. Let him try. Better to forget in P1 than later years. A kid who always forgets, has an ever-ready mum who remembers.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
