Welcome to the Family! ♥

It gives me immense joy to write this post as I welcome our newest member to the family!!! Oh such a sweet little angel!! (◕ฺˇε ˇ◕ฺ)

And since there's sure to be some jokers who think that I just gave birth {have you not seen my recent photos??}, I've to clarify right from the start that the little bundle of joy I'm referring to is my dear niece, not Lil Pumpkin's sibling.

She shall henceforth be known as Lil J on the blog ゚・✿ヾ╲(。◕‿◕。)╱✿・゚

Lil J was actually due in mid-October but loved being the bun in her mama's oven so much that she only arrived 10 days later... on Back to the Future Day hahaha. We were all so eager to meet her though and kept praying that she would come out faster.

The last time we celebrated the birth of a baby in the family was when Lil Pumpkin was born 6 years ago, so you can just imagine how ecstatic everyone is to meet Lil J! Especially Lil Pumpkin, who always loves playing with and is very protective towards younger kids {she has pretty strong maternal instincts I feel}.

Lil J actually looks like Lil Pumpkin when she was a newborn with chubby cherub cheeks and a full head of thick, black hair. She's a very active kid and was moving all around from the moment she was born. Even had her eyes open when they wheeled her out of the operating theatre! (^∀^)

I can't help but look back and think how fast Lil Pumpkin has grown from being a wee little newborn that size to the spirited young girl she is now. Just as she has grown and learnt new things about the world from us, so have I from her - how to look at the world again with child-like innocence, how to appreciate relationships more than possessions and how to truly, truly, truly love unconditionally.

May my sis and brother-in-law's parenting journey be just as fulfilling. There will be hard days of frustration, crying, doubting your ability to be a mum/day and sleepless nights, but it is all worth it xox Heartiest congratulations once again on your little bundle of joy~ ♥

I'm looking forward to meeting my own niece or nephew from my own side too! My husband's siblings have kids but it's not the same when it is your own sister or brother isn't it? Hahaha.

Guess that when you see another newborn, there's no running away from reminiscing about our own!
