KidsFest 2016 | Snow Child Family Show @ SOTA

Been so busy the past week with Lil Pumpkin entering Primary 1!! Before I share on her first few days in school {where I got to play the role of "mamarazzi" hah}, I just have to quickly tell you to mark your calendar for KidsFest 2016, as ABA Productions presents the most anticipated theatrical adventure for children once again later this month!

Yup it's that happy time of the year again to captivate young theatre-buffs with the stage adaption of stories from six well-loved children’s books. In its fifth season, the curtains at School of the Arts {SOTA} will rise for more than three weeks {Jan 20 - Feb 14 2016}!

Other than The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom which are back by popular demand, there are 4 other theatre productions staged new for 2016!

One of which is Snow Child by Emma Reeves. This is one of the shows during KidsFest 2016 that we've marked out to attend since we all looooooveeeee snow and didn't get to see any during the Dec hols!! Well, not counting the fake snow at Santa's All-Star Christmas in USS :P

I'm sure Lil Pumpkin will be stoked to have this theatrical treat after her first month in P1 too. She adores live shows! *grins*

Snow Child tells a touching story of a lonely couple who built a small figure from snow, and wish very, very hard… until the strength of their longing brings a magical Snow Child to life before their eyes!

However, that moment of magic is at the beginning of the story. What comes after the happy ending, when winter gives way to spring and summer? Will the Snow Child and her parents find their happily ever after?? The audience will discover the answers to these questions and learn that at its heart, Snow Child is about the challenges faced by both parents and children when a child is different.

And after all, every child is different in his or her own way… something I really need to remember in my own motherhood journey

Have a sneak peek at the show in the video above and see if you'd like to join us in watching it. Tickets are on sale now at out now and you can book them at any SISTIC outlet or call the hotline 6348 5555.

A 10% discount is applicable when you book two shows and a 15% discount when you book three or more! You can also show your purchased tickets or ticket stubs at any SISTIC outlet to receive a 10% discount on additional tickets. I love this story - read it as a child - and hope to bring David to watch this! He's a fan of anything with snow after our adventures in Snow City and Gardens by the Bay last December ;)
