Wordless Wednesday: Singapore Playgrounds - Dakota Crescent Dove | Week 12

Where is this week's playground?
Block 10, Dakota Crescent, Mountbatten East.

FUN Factor?
8/10. Pretty large mosaic playground designed after a dove.
There's sand-play, 3 tyre swings, a tall fireman's pole and a metal bridge
connecting the two main structures.
Remember to bring waxed papers along as the slides aren't very slippery!
Suitable for kids of all ages.

One of the Singapore Heritage Playgrounds.
Do check out the Pipit Mini Dragon, Bishan Clock, Toa Payoh Mini Dragon,
Tampines Mangosteen, AMK Dragon, Tampines Watermelon & TPY Dragon.

As the flats in Dakota Crescent will be demolished next year for new developments,
this playground will not likely survive so hurry on down before it disappears too!

Play is important for children to learn, grow and discover the world we live in.
As we visit as many fun, nostalgic and even quirky playgrounds as we can this year,
I hope to inspire you to make play an even bigger part of your kids' lives and
explore much more of our beautiful Singapore!

This photo is part of the 52 Weeks Singapore Playgrounds series.

Children's playgrounds are one of the things I appreciate in Singapore since I moved here last year. I am not a mom (nor I'll be one soon) but I find it really nice that neat playgrounds are everywhere. This is something we don't have much in Manila.
