Blessed & Home ❀

After 2+ weeks in Japan, we are finally home. I came back feeling all lethargic & nauseous and thought maybe it's my body way of telling me I should stay longer in Japan but I remembered I felt like that just before we left too so it probably wasn't so.

The last few days in Japan were cold with strong winds and low temperatures around 6 °C. It kinda felt like winter and really wouldn't be so bad, except that we weren't expecting to be dressed for winter and had just light Spring clothes with us! We did end up buying some more long sleeves and sweaters due to the sudden weather change though... if only it stayed as warm as it was when we first reached Tokyo!

Lil Pumpkin was thankfully kept warm and snug with her pink, padded Joules jacket that has served her well for the past 2+ years. I'm so glad that she did not fall ill at all during this whole trip.. phew~!

We were back on Friday and over the weekend I spent most of my time sleeping to recover {missed Jerome / Juria's Points of Departure exhibition talk!} and felt better enough to make it to work today. Had heaps and heaps of work emails to go through and I'm glad to have them sorted. Next I'll have to tackle the blog emails oops.

Seriously suffered some post-holiday and Monday blues today and I wish every day was spent having Ohanami picnics under the beautiful Sakura trees instead of being stuck in the office grind. However, hard work just makes holidays and rest days even more meaningful and rewarding.

That's something I'd really like Lil Pumpkin to learn and understand - nothing worth having comes easy, and nothing good lasts forever.

We went to admire Sakura in Japan, and we managed to do it in 7 cities for the past 2+ weeks. Extremely thankful for that. It was truly a memorable trip and I'm feeling so blessed to have my family with me to enjoy it, despite some unforeseen circumstances that have occurred.

Will be sharing more posts and photos in the coming weeks of our Japan 2015 travels so stay tuned xox

It sounds amazing!!!

I'm always tired before and after trips. It's like you need time off after vacation. A vacation from vacation. LOL

Such pretty blooms there!

We are leaving for Washington DC this weekend and I am hoping that the Japanese CHerry Blossoms are still blossoming by the time we get there.

Lovely pictures! I've never been to Japan since my hubby had been many times and didn't want to go yet again. But it's definitely on my to-go list.

Yep, I also want my girls to know that you only get good things if you work hard. Unfortunately one of their current fav songs is Colbie Callait's 'You don't have to try so hard' and I got that quoted at me. *roll eyes

I think Singapore has to be the most beautiful place on Earth when spring rolls around! You always have the prettiest flowers posted this time of year. Sorry you got sick on your trip though!
