Valentine's Day 2013 | Instagram Magnets by StickyGram {International Giveaway} + {Promo Code}

Hi, I'm Ai and I'm an Instagram addict. Anybody else wants to confess? :)

I'm really snap-happy and love sharing moments of my life on Instagram. It's so easy to just take a photo, and post instantaneously to a community that I'm so involved in. Yup, I check in almost every waking hour so if you don't see me on Twitter or Facebook, you know where to find me haha.

The problem is, I'm not that great at actually doing anything with my Instagram photos.. which is a shame, since I have nearly 1,600 photos there, and some are very well-taken if I do say so myself ;p  A good thing that I was introduced to StickyGram, which makes magnets of your favourite Instagram photos.

The creation process on their website is rather idiot-proof and only takes about 15 minutes. The hard part is choosing which photos you'd like to print out!

Their 5x5cm magnets come in sets of 9 with a matte finish. The photos seem to be printed on the magnets itself and are pretty light & flexible. The photo quality is also excellent with colours to match the original image. A thing to note though is that there is a white border around each magnet, which does not appear at the preview during the creation process. You can just snip off the extra borders on the magnets if you don't like them.

They definitely make wonderful gifts to liven up any fridge door! To celebrate Valentine's Day and spread extra love to my readers and friends, I'm giving away THREE sheets of 9 StickyGram magnets {worth US$14.99}! Here's a special way to keep love in the air, outside your smartphone! Open to readers and friends worldwide. There will be 2 fun ways to enter and win. Comment Take 3:

Liked as (Regina Soejanto-Moo) and followed as (@reginamoo) - short of stalking you!

IG Tip: Colour, Contrast and Crop, essentials to great IG shots. But taking pics of the kid, I don't have the luxury of that! Each moment is fleeting and precious... so it's usually Snap and Send! :)

Tip: Select the option to leave out the borders so that when you use your Instagram pictures for StickyGram or Casetagram, they will look more uniform and pleasing to the eye!

My IG tip? Always go close to the subject so the distracting background can be cropped out of the frame. And do use one of the filters to add mood or enhancement to the photo :)

Tip: use an external photo edit app to clean up the photo before posting on IG, people are drawn to nice photos.

Tip: there's a lot of good photo-editing apps out there but try not to over-process and let the picture speak for itself

Thanks for the giveaway, super love IG so this would be great! My tip for IG: For black and white shots, try running the picture twice through the filter to increase contrast, for sharper BW pictures! :)

My IG tip: for taking pics of kids and babies, keep snapping away instead of stopping to check if you got a nice shot. Some moments just pass too fast and you might end up missing those precious smiles. Hopefully we can get one beautiful shot for every ten tries!

My tip for Instagram is to take images a little off centre, on an angle as this can sometimes enhance a filter's effect. xx Emily

I have wanted to get some of these stickers for so long and just keep forgetting about them. I have bookmarked the page now so I remember!

Oops, forgot to add my tip! My tip is to take as many photos as you can and go through them later to choose the ones you want to load on IG. When I am out and about in the moment, especially with Mia, I don't like to fiddle around adding filters and such so I often snap a quick one and post, then later on I go through and pick one or two to play around with and edit before I upload later. Means you still get to share stuff on IG without having to miss out on what you were actually doing at the time!

Tip: When taking a photo that you will want to post on Instagram, make it wider than normal since you will be cropping it into a square.

Tip: Photos come out best from a phone when you take them vertically rather than horizontally.
Also, leave plenty of space around the subject you're taking a photo of so that when you frame it on IG, you can get a better close up :)
Ha! 2 tips!!!

tip: remember that instagram crops to the pic along the shortest edge of the photo. as a result, i find it easier to take pics in portrait than landscape. zoom out where possible so that it'll be easier to crop!

I'll throw in two tips
1. Use hastags, this way your photos can be seen by others who like the same things like you like #hellokitty #foodpic #kids

2. Watch your compositions to make your photos more interesting.

Already followed your FB and IG accounts nong nong ago :)

My tip is when taking photos of food, sometimes it is better to take a long shot and with minimal filter effects than a closeup. Some food just doesn't look very pleasing up close or digitally enhanced.

Instagram tip: You can use the blur tool to blur out items in the photo so that the main thing is in focus only!
